MedEd is one of the most important societies at Imperial-it has supported us all in our revision and practical applications since first year. It has guided our learning throughout the year and saved us while we were cramming at the end of the year!

Hi everyone, I’m Joanna and I am applying to be part of initiatives to extend support to the younger years in order to ease their settling in to university life. I want to give back, helping run tutorials and events to support academics which has been the biggest concern of students across all cohorts this year and in previous years. I have had experience in teaching as well as running events, both of which are vital skills for this role.

I plan on continuing to support in the running of events that have been conducted year on year as well as implementing my own ideas:

• Medical school orientation with study-skills workshop
• Peer mentoring
• More case-based learning

I hope you can entrust me with this role so I can continue to make a difference for the younger years.
