I am thrilled to be a part of the Imperial Medical Humanities Society and would be honoured to take on a Committee Member role for 2026/27. I enjoy exploring the human dimensions of medicine, through arts, literature, ethics, philosophy, and creative writing and would love to contribute to a society that fosters reflection, creativity, and critical thinking alongside our clinical training. I would be excited to develop a broad range of interactive and creative events, including themed movie nights and guided discussions, art showcases celebrating students work, and canvas evenings offering a relaxed space for painting and conversation. I would support debate nights exploring ethical and philosophical questions in healthcare, as well as creative writing workshops focused on reflective practice and narrative based care. I would love to help organise exhibitions and gallery visits, creating opportunities to engage with visual culture and consider how art intersects with illness, identity, and medical care. These initiatives would complement traditional speaker events and would encourage wider participation from students across disciplines. Having previous experience supporting event organisation, I would bring reliability, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to the committee. I am keen to assist with planning, promotion, and events delivery, with an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere. Ultimately, I wish to contribute to a society that nurtures empathy, curiosity, and creativity in future clinicians.
