Hi I'm Laksia !

I have developed a deep love for Deaf culture and sign language the last few years through signsoc and horizons. Our signsoc community is genuinely so special and I would love to keep that alive with new ideas and sessions that inspire more people to learn.

Outside of uni I spend my Wednesdays designing and teaching coding sessions at primary schools so teaching and sign language are genuinely the two loves of my life ! This teaching officer role would allow me to craft inclusive, inspiring and fun sessions.

One change I would make would be to record videos and add them to the slides after the session so that we can produce our own structured dictionary. I believe this would empower beginners in signing too, as forgetting the signs after the sessions and then struggling to find them again was something I struggled with last year.
