I'm Brian, and I'm running to be your AlgoSoc Head of trading next year. I’m focused on making AlgoSoc more practical and accessible - stronger foundations for beginners, and more depth for people aiming for interviews and internships.

• Incoming Optiver Spring Intern (Future Focus)

Why me?
-
Resources that actually help you get hired
More access to the things people genuinely use: TraderMath / Quantable-style platforms, LeetCode Premium, and other prep resources where it makes sense. I want members to feel like AlgoSoc gives them a real edge, building skills that actually get them past interviews.
-
Open-to-all challenges for real, practical experience
I want AlgoSoc to offer practical experience, not just theory. I’ll run two big trading challenges (one in first term, one in second term) that are open to everyone - solo or in small teams - with a starter template so beginners can take part. The focus will be on building real, testable strategies: clear methodology, and robust evaluation (not just overfitting). You’ll leave with a tangible project, and something genuinely useful to talk about on a CV.
-
CV advice that gets you past screens
We’ll run regular sessions early in the year on making CVs that stand out - structure, wording, and how to present projects/skills so they’re actually readable to recruiters. Your CV is a firm’s first impression. We'll make it count.
If you want a Head of Trading who will make AlgoSoc more practical, and more useful for everyone, I’d appreciate your vote.
