Anatolii Shandybin
Hi! I'm Anatolii, a first-year JMC student. We all know DoCSoc is brilliant at connecting students with industry, but I want to open it up even more in two directions: entrepreneurship and international exchange.
Why me?
As a long-term IC Hack volunteer, I've written educational hackpacks to guide participants through technical challenges and provided support to teams on the day. I've also planned the academic curriculum for summer camps, designing competitive programming challenges.
What I'll do:
Keep the events you love. I'll maintain and expand the 101 series: Rust 101, Internships 101, Quantum Computing 101, and more covering what the curriculum doesn't have time for. I'll keep running Deep Dives, making them more interactive with hands-on challenges and follow-up sessions for topics that deserve more than an hour.
Bring entrepreneurial energy to DoCSoc. The most exciting projects start not with a business plan, but with a passion for a field and the right people to build it with. Imperial has alumni and students who've done exactly that - turned a deep interest in cryptography, ML, or mathematics into something real. I want to bring those stories to DoCSoc through talks and Q&As, so you can hear how that journey happens.
Organise trips to leading universities. ETH Zurich, TU Munich — places where students tackle the same problems we do. Exchange visits build connections and broaden perspective in a way no lecture can.
I'm really excited for the opportunity to make DoCSoc even better - so please vote for Anatolii!
