Hello everyone, I'm Sihan Zhu from DE1, running for the Workshops Manager in Design Engineering. Although I'm only a first-year student, I've already been inventing things for more than 7 years, across multiple fields such as sustainability & recycling, home products, AI, and IoT products. These experiences have allowed me to learn many different skills and apply them to real-life problems. Besides these engineering projects, I've also studied economics, business & entrepreneurship, psychology, anthropology, human-technology relationships and ethics, communication, and philosophy. Therefore, I can understand and effectively bridge different kinds of resources to our community to create workshops, no matter whether they focus on technology, humanities, or business.
Besides the abilities and background I have, I also have connections with several communities that are already arranging many workshops around the world, mostly about startups, AI, and UI/UX design. By negotiating with one of the community leaders, I learned that he was already interested in hosting AI workshops and hackathon at Dyson School but couldn't do it this semester due to scheduling constraints. If I'm the Workshops Manager, I'll be able to maximize the resources I have to organize interesting and helpful workshops, giving our DE community more insights and skills. Please vote for me!! :-)
