Electrical Engineering: SparkEE Ladies President

Over the past two years, I've grown with WiEE. From marketing and events in second year to Vice President this year, I've focused on strengthening our foundations and our foothold in this department. I also secured Apple as sponsors for our Tech for Good Challenge, proving I can deliver real partnerships.

Now, I want to take us further: from a society into a true community.

1. A Community That Actually Knows Each Other

  • Biweekly Socials: coffee mornings, study sessions, and evening hangouts. Meet the committee here too!
  • Year-group buddy system across all years for mentorship and friendship.
  • Yearbook to create memories which will be passed down the generations.

2. Direct Industry Access

  • Secure new sponsor partnerships by end of summer.
  • Termly "Coffee with Companies"; informal time with HR to grow your network.
  • Create a database with jobs and alumni contacts.
  • Open up research projects with professors to gain direct mentorship and grow your CV alongside your studies.

3. No One Left Behind

  • Welcome packs and personal check-ins for every member, new or returning.
  • Anonymous feedback system so quieter voices are heard.
  • Committee members assigned to year groups as points of contact.
  • I will personally learn all your names.

The Year Ahead:

  • Autumn: Everyone knows everyone, set up social calander, series 1 of Coffee Chats and research projects.
  • Spring: Tech for Good Challenge with Apple, continued social calendar.
  • Summer: End-of-term celebration dinner!

I have the experience, the relationships, and the proven track record. Let's build something that lasts beyond graduation.
