Hi everyone! I’m Dwayne, a second-year MatSci student, and I’m running to be your next Magazine Officer.
We’ve all been there: sitting in a lecture on plasticity or phase diagrams feeling completely lost. As your officer, I want to turn our magazine into a survival guide and a source of inspiration.
If elected, I will focus on three things:
- The "Explain Like I'm 5" Series: Breaking down the most notorious curriculum topics into simple, digestible articles.
- Cutting-Edge Depth: Deep dives into the "cool stuff" we don't always see in class from PhD-level quantum physics to the superalloys powering jet engines.
- Career Corner: Regular updates on internship openings and industry opportunities to help you plan your future.
I’ve written for the magazine before, and I’m ready to take it to the next level. Let’s make our publication something you actually want to read between lectures, during commutes or even during evening downtimes.
