Katia Bubenok-Honchar

Hi everyone! I’m Katia, a first-year EFDS student, and I’m running to be your Events Manager.

Since joining WiB, attending socials and networking events has introduced me to amazing people and opportunities that have already shaped how I think about my future career. What stood out to me most, though, was the supportive atmosphere within the society. Being surrounded by people with similar ambitions makes navigating career decisions feel much less overwhelming.

As Events Manager, I would love to strengthen that sense of community while creating more opportunities for members to explore different career paths, grow professionally, and enjoy spending time together.

My focus would be on three areas:

1. Expanding socials and strengthening the community

• Organise relaxed social events where members can connect, such as Galentine’s event, vision board workshop, group dinners, and many more.

2. Advancing career opportunities

• Continue and strengthen initiatives like the Connections by Course dinner.
• Organise interactive workshops and speaker events across finance, consulting, technology, and VC.
• Provide opportunities to learn practical skills from industry professionals.

3. Supporting members with applications

• Run CV and cover letter clinics and interview preparation sessions.
• Share useful resources to help members feel more confident applying for opportunities.
