Michael Sung

Hey everyone, I'm Michael and this year I will be running to be your social secretary!

Having been to numerous AMSA events both this year and last, I have had the opportunity to experience and enjoy everything that AMSA and its people have to offer: new friends, advice for the year (academic or not), tonnes of food, and of course the socials which acted as the perfect excuse not to study.

I believe I have a role to play in giving back to the AMSA community, as well as an obligation, especially given how much I have gained being in this society. Based on feedback I have received whilst talking to some of you, I will:

• Increase the number of Imperial events so that everyone can become well accustomed within our medical school.
• Ensure good correspondence with other London universities to help anyone feeling isolated within the Imperial bubble.
• Organise more unlimited food events because who doesn't enjoy starving themselves to see who can eat the most dim sum in 90 minutes.
• Help integrate all members, especially newcomers.
• Continue the AMSA family scheme.

As part of the AMSA CPA Mock subcomm this year, I have experience working in committee to deliver activities. We all know faculty can be a bit stingy with resources, so being a part of AMSA means I can continue helping others acidemically.

I would love to help everyone get to know each other, and organise fun, cost-effective events inclusive for all of us in AMSA.
