Madura Vigneswaran

Hi everyone! My name is Madura, a second year medical student and I am excited to run for Treasurer in Endocrinology Society.

Endocrinology is an ever-evolving speciality, where it combines the complex physiology with long-term patient relationships. I’m particularly drawn to how endocrine conditions require careful problem-solving and pattern recognition, whether it’s interpreting blood results, understanding feedback loops, or managing chronic diseases. Being part of this society will allow me to further expand my interest in this field. As Treasurer, I will responsibly manage funds, ensuring we deliver a broad range of impactful academic and career-enhancing opportunities.

My experience as Head of Sponsorship for Tamil Society has equipped me with the skills necessary for this role. I developed strong organisational skills through managing multiple partnerships, deadlines, and financial targets simultaneously. Through this position, I also gained valuable financial experience, including drafting invoices, preparing contracts for external companies, and issuing credit notes. Handling these responsibilities strengthened my attention to detail and professionalism.
