Hi everyone! Immunology is honestly one of the most exciting areas in medicine right now — and a big reason I chose Medical Biosciences. As a second-year student currently taking the IMMI (Immunology & Inflammation) module, I see every week how clinically relevant and fast-moving this field is. I’d love to help our society reflect that same energy.
As a current Life Sciences Subcommittee Member, I’ve supported speaker outreach, communications, and event planning — including helping organise the Life Sciences collaborative events with BioSoc and BiochemSoc. Working across societies taught me how to coordinate between teams, manage logistics, and ensure events run smoothly. I’m keen to bring that experience into the Core Committee and take on greater responsibility.
Beyond this, I was Chair of my school’s Medical Society, where I organised weekly talks and large events for 80+ members. That role strengthened my organisation, adaptability, and teamwork — all essential for assisting with planning and executing society events.
If elected, I’d love to:
-
Organise more interactive, skills-based immunology events
-
Invite speakers working in translational and industry immunology
-
Continue expanding cross-society collaborations
I’m reliable, proactive, and genuinely enthusiastic about immunology. I care about this society because I’m already part of it — and I’d love to help build it into something even more engaging and impactful.
