Alisha Jamil
Hi I’m Alisha, a first year medical biosciences student. Immunology is such a defining field leading breakthroughs for human health, and I would love to be a part of this movement. The core of my interest is in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammation, which I am currently exploring in the lab.
Having been headgirl, I have experience organising workshops, meetings and large-scale events. I will be a huge support to the committee, helping with emails, conference planning and anything needed! I am a friendly, confident public speaker and can also support with advertisement and marketing so I’ll be great at encouraging engagement with immunology society. Currently I am also a BMB skills champion and am supporting the organisation of a Master’s Enrichment event with post-graduate leads. I can bring similar networking opportunities to Immunology society too. I believe immunology is an inter-disciplinary field and would love to connect students from different courses through our events to work on projects together.
As core committee member, I will be a great addition to the team and will take every responsibility on board. I aim to inspire passion for this field and strengthen our scientific community. Thank you!
