Investment: Treasurer

Flagship Events & Budget Allocation I will introduce 3 to 4 flagship sector events per year, each themed to a specific area of finance such as Equity Research & Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Quantitative Finance, Investment Banking, and Private Equity. A significant portion of the annual budget will be concentrated on these events, subsidising attendance as heavily as possible to maximise turnout and match the scale of flagship events run by LSE, Oxbridge, and UCL.

Responsible Fee Management & Financial Discipline Every penny of ICIS membership fees should work directly for our members. I will conduct a full review of current spending, build a transparent annual budget approved by the committee before the year begins, and publish clear breakdowns so members know where their money is going. Outside of flagship events, costs will be managed tightly by negotiating better deals with vendors and eliminating unnecessary expenditure.

Collaboration with Corporate Relations Heavily subsidised flagship events require income beyond member fees alone. I will work closely with the Corporate Relations team to secure sponsorship from firms aligned with each event's sector theme, ensuring financial strategy and outreach are fully coordinated. By aligning the budget around these partnerships, we can fund richer experiences for members, grow the society's reserves, and scale ICIS sustainably without placing additional burden on membership fees.
