Krishna Lee
Hi everyone! I’m Krishna, a first year Economics, Finance, and Data Science student, and I’m running for Treasurer in this year’s elections.
As a candidate for Treasurer, I understand that the most important thing for Imperial College Investment Society is ensuring we can run as many impactful events as possible to make the society valuable to every degree, year, and financial career path. Therefore, my priorities are:
- Keep ICIS accessible to all: I aim to fund opportunities for all interested students at Imperial, including office visits, networking, competitions, and more, to make sure that you find membership worthwhile, no matter what you’re looking for.
- Sustainable budgeting: I will responsibly manage and expand our budget by working with the corporate relations teams and sponsors to ensure events remain both affordable and regular throughout the year.
- Collaboration and growth: As an executive member of ICIS, I will be ready to work with other committee members to make sure the society runs smoothly behind the scenes and continues to build upon its incredible reputation at Imperial.
Given my experience analysing the finances of a family business in London, where I have developed strategies to reduce costs and maximise revenue, I am confident that I will be able to manage and expand ICIS’ access to funds. I was also elected as president of my Sixth Form Philosophy Society, so organising events is an area I’m very familiar with.
I’d love the opportunity to serve as your Treasurer, and thank you for your support!
