Hi everyone, I’m running for Vice Chair of Ophthalmology Society

Over the past couple of years I’ve become genuinely fascinated by ophthalmology as it’s such a unique mix of medicine, microsurgery, technology and immediate impact on patients’ quality of life.

If elected, I want to help make the society even more accessible and engaging for everyone. That means well-organised, high-yield talks, practical skills sessions (e.g. fundoscopy and suturing), and clear, realistic guidance on getting involved in research and building your portfolio early.

I’m friendly, approachable, and always happy to chat, and I’d love to help create a society where people feel supported, inspired, and genuinely excited about getting involved.
