Hello everyone, we're Akshara and Amirah, and we are running to be your new school liaison officers!

Working on committee this year as sponsorship and equipment officer respectively, we understand everybody’s roles well, ensuring our task of collecting and relaying information are performed efficiently. Having collaborated when submitting the St Mary’s Grant Application, we know we work together successfully, and we will bring this effective teamwork to this role. Through our work on the Teddy Bear Hospital committee and other committees, we are familiar with managing emails and logistics between multiple stakeholders. Having both attended every school visit this year, we have shown we are consistent in our roles, which are necessary prerequisites for success in this position.

We will be reliable points-of-contact to schools through prompt email correspondence, ensuring we reach out in advance as well as effectively collect feedback. We also hope to bring further novel ideas to refine the school liaison role.

Our aims:

• Improve feedback collection: Move to an in-person method of feedback collection. Recording feedback on the day will provide us with relevant, useful information based directly on the teacher’s immediate thoughts and experiences with our society.

• Document feedback: Create a centralised tracker to identify potential areas for improvement to better our sessions. Document school preferences for future use in upcoming years.
