Neha Doddaka
Hi everyone! I’m Neha, a second-year medical student. I’ve really enjoyed volunteering with Teddy Bear Hospital this year and would love to be sponsorship officer next year!
In school, I was vice chair of our pupil council which involved me liaising with subsections of the council to ensure tasks were completed on schedule. I was also chair of the biomedical society and had to organise events such as MMI carousels which involved emailing constantly to organise rooms and recruit volunteers to run the stations. I also helped deliver lessons on gender-based violence to S1 (Year 8) pupils which involved communicating with school staff via email. All this has really helped develop my online communication skills, which I believe would make me an effective sponsorship officer.
In this role, I will keep in contact with companies we already have a relationship with and reach out to other organisations who might be interested in what we do as a society, through writing thorough applications and following up on tasks proactively. As a volunteer, I have seen first-hand how instrumental Teddy Bear Hospital is in educating young kids about health in such a fun way! Therefore, I would love to keep this going by securing sponsorships for the coming year as your new sponsorship officer.
