Hi everyone, I’m Rahul, and I’m running for Treasurer of the Oncology Society.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death, and Oncology Society plays a key role in inspiring students to get involved in research, clinical care, and innovation. With experience as Secretary and Speaker Coordinator, I’ve managed budgets, coordinated events, and liaised with external partners, giving me firsthand insight into what it takes to run successful conferences and society activities.

As Treasurer, I will:

• Keep finances transparent and up-to-date for the committee

• Provide budgeting guidance to support smooth event planning

• Maximise funding through grants, sponsorships, and smart allocation

• Ensure events are accessible, high-quality, and impactful

• Support fundraising efforts to grow society resources

I’m organised, proactive, and ready to ensure every pound is spent wisely.
