Dear members, I want to make the 2027 Cardiovascular Conference even more hands on and get Imperial medical students better connected, while ensuring it runs smoothly and is the best one yet.

I'm Hephzibah, a 3rd year medic who loves Cardio and wants to make the Cardiovascular conference more exciting for all of us through my vision of transforming the workshops and expanding what our conference can offer!! (read on to see the things I plan to make available to you next academic year)

Experience

• As part of the Imperial Medical Women’s Federation Subcommittee, I helped organise and deliver the She Leads Conference, managing logistics behind the scenes
• Learned what preparation makes an event successful

What you can expect

• A well organised and reliable Chair
• Clear coordination with speakers and sponsors

Expanding the conference

• ⁠Establish a mentorship scheme connecting students with Cardiologists for research guidance
• Personal recordings of cardiothoracic surgeons daily work for authentic insights into the career for our students
• Speed networking sessions connecting our students directly with professors

Introducing new + more exciting workshops:

- Establishing an in-conference Cardiovascular Poster Competition!
- Real heart dissections
- Using AI Imaging to understand CVD

I promise to keep our high quality speakers and build on what already works, while implementing these changes to take the conference to the next level for 2027! Thank you <3
