Lena Hamza

Hi everyone! I’m Lena and I would really love to be Vice Chair for GPSoc. Having done some clinical placements in GP over the past two years, I have developed an interest in the specialty, hence I would love to take on a big role in GP society and contribute to delivering even more events next year to enable GPSoc to continue to flourish. I find the specialty to be unique in its problem-solving nature and so I would love to be a part of this society and explore my interest further, whilst enabling others to do the same by hosting events. I have picked up various roles this year which have allowed me to develop the skills necessary for this role. For instance, being proactive and working effectively in collaboration with others. For example, being a member of subcommittee for Paediatric society and contributing to organising an academic conference, ‘Meet the Paediatricians,’ and being an active committee member of SIMA (Student Iraqi Medical Association) as charity officer which gave me the opportunity to organise many large events.
