Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine: Communications Officer

Hello PHEM people! My name is Ronak, and this year I'm running to be your Communications officer.

Over the past year, I've been an active member of PHEM, attending talks and going on ambulance shifts. It's been an invaluable learning experience, and now I'd like to give back to our society by handling some of the administrative tasks that allow our members to continue to gain insight into this hectic and varied world of Prehospital Medicine.

Some goals I have for this year if voted in:

  1. Organising collaborations with Imperial Friends of MSF, Acute Care and other societies to bring you exciting and meaningful events
  2. Ensure the smooth running of all the existing programs for members, including AOP, Major Trauma placement, and PHEM Talks!
  3. Reaching out to LAS and other organisations for networking events where you can have fun and socialise with the very friendly paramedics/AAPs/EMTs, PHEM physicians and other ambulance staff, whilst also building meaningful, valuable connections

Having served as a Wellbeing Representative for my year group as well as on other society committee positions this past year, I bring a range of organisational and communication skills that will transfer well over to this role. My vision for PHEM society continues to make learning opportunities that might otherwise be hard to come by, accessible to our members, whilst also striving to be inclusive, engaging and fun!

Thank you for reading, and happy voting!
