Salina Bartley

Hi everyone! My name is Salina, and I’d really love to be your next Secretary for Cardiovascular Society.

Through my previous roles, I’ve developed strong organisational and communication skills that I would bring to this position. As part of the Paediatrics Conference subcommittee, I focused on liaising with and securing appropriate speakers, working closely with the chair and other committee members. This gave me valuable experience in outreach, coordination and maintaining professional relationships, as well as ensuring events ran smoothly behind the scenes. I’ve also led charity events both independently and with Bangladeshi Society, which strengthened my ability to manage logistics, plan effectively and deliver successful events.

As Secretary, I would prioritise:

• Clear and timely communication within the committee and with members
• Efficient, well-structured meeting minutes
• Keeping track of key dates, deadlines and event planning timelines
• Ensuring smooth coordination so our events are professional and well-organised

If elected, I’ll work to ensure our society remains organised, proactive and efficient!
