Sze Jing Lim

Hi everyone! My name is Sze Jing, and I am one of the Co-Chairs for the TEDxImperial 25/26 committee. It was a milestone for our club to make the Annual Conference 2025 a reality. Assisting the whole committee in executing the annual conference and mini-TEDx events was a fruitful experience for me. These experiences form the fundamental knowledge and confidence for me to lead the next committee effectively.

If I am elected as the chair, I am eager to implement suggestions as discussed in the committee's post-mortem meeting to elevate TEDxImperial club as a prominent idea-inspiring and networking club:

1. Invite prominent Imperial-based speakers to encourage event promotion by Imperial departments

2. Engage student speakers from different backgrounds and promote the club's publicity

3. Secure venues provided by Imperial College Union to ease logistics and introduce student-friendly topics and prices.

4. Move the annual conference date to Spring Term 2027 to create more planning time

In addition, consistent collaboration events and mini-events will be planned before the annual conference to create the momentum for the annual conference. My primary aims for the club in the next academic year are increase the club's publicity within Imperial and build up the club's reputation.
