Oyku Erciyes

Hi, I am Oyku and I’m a first-year Biological Sciences student. I have been taking event photographs for my school and doing darkroom photography for 3 years. This year, I got my first Fujifilm camera and started experimenting with colours.

Even though I love the events Photosoc is organizing, I feel like we could achieve more. As the events manager, I want to organize a wider range of events:

• More frequent photo walks
• Organizing talks with photographers
• Gallery tours (with subsidised tickets if possible)
• Socials
• Workshops: light usage in portraits, long-exposure photography, pinhole film camera making

I see from the exhibition and the WhatsApp group that there are so many amazing and advanced photographers in this club, and I think these events would be a great opportunity for everyone to learn from each other.
