You should vote for me as an event officer because I’ve run events before. For the past two years I had organized a week-long event year, entirely funded and led by students. The event had guest speakers, games, food, and student panels; I did the networking to get those speakers, and collaborated with a team to fundraise for food and set up the student panel. I do this because I love meeting new people (I’m very friendly, trust), and creating a space where people can have fun or learn new things is really rewarding to me. Plus, I will support any free food agenda wherever possible. I already take part in a lot of MatSoc events, like the Ceilidh and Lunchtime Lectures, and I'd love to be more involved <3
