Neuro: Research project and Audit Co-ordinator

Hi everyone, I’m Rahul, and I’m running for Research Project & Audit Co-ordinator for the Neurology Society.

Research is the backbone of progress in neurology, and I want to make it more accessible, structured, and impactful for Neuro Soc members. I’m currently undertaking research myself, so I understand both the challenges and rewards of getting projects off the ground.

If elected, I will:

Connect students with clinicians and research labs for neuroscience and neurosurgery projects
Support student-led audits with guidance on design, data collection, and publication
Run practical workshops on study design, data analysis, abstracts, and presentations
Introduce peer mentorship to help newcomers navigate research and audit projects
Ensure projects deliver real outcomes- presentations, publications, and experience
