Joseph Collins

Hi, I'm Joseph. I'm from Birmingham, I’m currently in my second year of Civil Engineering and I’m running to be your new Quiz Society chair.

My reasons for running are much the same as my reasons for running for OCM last year. I have continued quizzing almost non-stop (it seems) and have become involved in the wider quiz circuit. This year, I organised and briticised the Consensus tournament held at Imperial in December and wrote a significant number of questions for 2025 British Novice. Both of these show that I am able to dedicate time and effort into making quiz fun for everyone.

I will continue with the postives from this year. I look forward to Imperial being able to host the first mirror of the as-yet-untitled quizbowl set which many society members are currently working on. I will continue the wider variety of quiz formats that ICQS has been involved with this year. as this has been a good step for the society to cater for a wider range of interests

I want to make practice run more smoothly by introducing a spreadsheet to track packets that have been read.

I will make sure that the great recruitment that we have done in the last couple of years will continue. I would like to ensure a wide range of backgrounds and degree courses are represented in the society.

Overall, I will strive to continue the great work that has seen the society become so well-attended and successful.
