Reilly Webster
Hey everyone! I'm Reilly, a first year studying Physics from London. I've played sports like football, squash, track and cross country, golf and more at various levels (from beginner to county and borough representation), and you'll catch me watching almost any sport on TV (but I have to confess I'll watch football over anything else). I'm always open to new sports, and I don't think the level really matters. Sport is for everyone to enjoy.
I'd love to be the sports officer because I think a huge society like Physoc is a great opportunity for me to organise plenty of not-so-serious sporting events. Many people like myself have wanted amateur events with friends within Physoc, and I've already come up with the idea of forming a small football whatsapp group for year 1 physics students (currently 21 members)! We plan to run our first session later this month. I'd like to expand such a team into Physoc itself.
The more serious university sporting events can be both daunting and too much effort for some. Events I'd promote at Physoc could be a fun, casual and sociable alternative to this, and a way to interact with other members of Physoc! Those who want to meet new people within Physoc could naturally do so, and if groups of friends wanted to casually play amongst themselves and others I would support this too!
Most importantly, I'd welcome your input. I'll be a way to make the Physoc sporting events that you want happen!
