This past season with the women’s team has not only developed me as a lacrosse player and deepened my love for the sport, but it has also provided me with an outlet during a tumultuous yet rewarding first year at university. The women’s team has been a supportive and encouraging environment where we have built strong relationships both on and off the pitch through trainings, socials, and much more.
Our success as a team has been a testament to the talent of every individual, the effort and dedication shown by every player, and the unwavering commitment and consistency our captains bring to every training session and match.
As I enter my second year at Imperial, the opportunity to be part of this programme on a leadership level presents itself. The role of Women’s Vice Captain would allow me to channel the experience and perspective I have gained this year to give incoming and existing members the same encouragement and support I received. I am eager to lead by example and push this team to the next level. Through effective communication and collaboration, I am committed to continuing the winning culture set by this year’s captains, building a team that is competitive, united, and proud to represent Imperial College.
