Geophysics: Vice President

I’m running for Geophysics Vice President to help maintain a well-organised, supportive, and connected department experience for students across all year groups.

Over the past year the geophysics society has really found its footing following the leadership of the previous President and Vice President with stronger engagement, frequent talks and a more visible sense of community across the department. I would like to build on that momentum to ensure the progress continues.

I am also particularly interested in improving awareness of opportunities available to students. Many of us are still exploring career paths, internships, and research options, and better sharing of information between students, alumni, and staff could make these pathways clearer. Alongside that, I want to encourage continued cross-year interaction and accessible socials so the department remains welcoming and collaborative.

Above all, I aim to be approachable, reliable, and organised in representing students while helping maintain the strong direction the society has taken over the past year.

I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the Geophysics society.
