Arnaud McVicker
Next year, we will not be fighting for survival; we will be fighting for success. With 3 years of experience on the M1's, I understand the standard we must uphold. Whilst it will definitely be a development year, with many new faces joining the team, I am confident in my ability to lead the team with ambition, consistency, and accountability.
As captain of the M1s, I will aim to:
- Be open
Joining a club can be intimidating (esp. if it’s dodgeball), and I aim to be a friendly and approachable face for newcomers. I will make sure to warmly welcome everyone to the club and properly introduce them spoons (and heaven after ofc). I will always be receptive to feedback from the rest of the club. If something doesn’t work, we address it directly.
- Drive development
The M1’s standards should not be lowered. Should I be elected, I expect players to commit to individual improvement and to attend dedicated training sessions to the best of their abilities. The M1’s captains’ role also entails a level of responsibility toward the M2’s and M3’s, and I will support the growth of the whole club.
- Bring more events
As committee, I will be fighting for more events, whether it be the classic 2 vs 2, or the new Bring a Friends Day. Inter-club collaborations are included, and I will actively be reaching out to societies.
Thank you for your consideration, and I am ready to take on the responsibility of M1’s captain.
