Asian Medical Students Association: Secretary

Over the past 2 years, I've had great fun taking part in AMSA - and i'd love the opportunity to give back to the society!

  • Being a secretary entails working with every AMSA committee member (something I greatly look forward to), as the backbone of the committee. I will ensure clarity of meeting minutes through a circulated template, updating this document in real-time. I'll help create to-do lists for committee members, and offer them a helping hand with their tasks.
  • I'd love to continue to promote AMSA through a monthly newspaper - working with the PO and social secretary to bring in as many friendly faces to AMSA as possible!
  • I'll use my computing A level for good - managing the social media, email and database, whilst learning as I go along! I'll monitor emails daily, responding to queries as and when. I will take on all your feedback, working my best to improve upon the existing resources.

I've had the opportunity to develop these skills through many roles. Working as a Welcome Ambassador for Imperial, I was on hand to answer queries, directing students to relevant staff, and as a team, facilitated the moving in of hundreds of freshers! Working at an ENT conference, I recorded inventory and made notes on keynote speakers, promoted future conferences, and helped many delegates, from finding their way around the conference, to searching for the best bars in Liverpool!

I wholeheartedly believe that I have the capability to deliver for AMSA, alongside my fellow committee members!
