Hey guys,

My name is Thomas (but most of you know me as McCockle or Dodgy Tom).

For the last year I have been the Captain for the M2s which has been a great pleasure to do. And importantly, I have learnt a lot more about not just the club's finances but also the perspective of the members of the club who all contribute towards them through membership payments, union products, BUCS passes, etc.

From this insight stems one of the issues I have identified: there is a lack of clarity on what members can expect to pay during the year, and so they will often receive texts from the committee requesting payments, making the process less smooth.

Therefore, the biggest change I will introduce into this great club of ours next year will be to introduce a clear cost breakdown for everyone, including a very clearly laid-out document explaining what you can expect to pay depending on what you sign up for. I believe this will increase the transparency of the costs in the club for new and returning members.

Aside from this change, I will stick to the fundamental role of making sure the club doesn't go broke and lower the cost of union products where possible.

I kept the promises of my M2s Captain manifesto last year and intend to do the same with my role as Treasurer.
