I am running for Treasurer to ensure our society’s funds are managed properly, responsibly, and transparently. The Treasurer’s role is not just about handling money, but about building trust and protecting the resources that allow our society to thrive.

My priority will be to ensure every contribution, whether from memberships, sponsorships, or university funding, is accurately recorded and carefully monitored. I will maintain clear, organised accounts and follow all financial guidelines to guarantee funds are handled correctly and ethically.

Transparency is essential. I will provide regular updates so members understand how funds are allocated and how spending decisions are made. Everyone should feel confident that society money is secure and used in ways that benefit the whole community.

I will also focus on thoughtful budgeting. Every expense should support academic enrichment, professional development, or community building. By planning ahead and maintaining sensible reserves, I will help ensure long-term financial stability for future committees.

Geophysics is built on precision and accountability. I will bring the same discipline, reliability, and attention to detail to this role.
