Why me for social sec

• as you all know I'm always down for a social (maybe too keen sometimes)
• Able to bond with new freshers and older members, as I am very welcoming and inclusive.
• Have ideas for alcoholic AND non alcoholic socials so everyone has fun.
• always at every comp (so socials on tour) and every training so post debate socials will always be litty.
• So few women are in this society; as social sec I’ll make it my mission to create fun socials that get more women involved and comfortable joining!

Social sec ideas

• Drunk debates as a termly ritual with punishment shots/challenges (for non drinkers).
• Big welcome freshers event - pub crawl with challenges at each pub, put freshers in teams with older members. Great chance to get to know people and integrate freshers.
• Wednesday social every week – ofc embargoes pres at mine, plus occassional bowling/games pres for the non-clubbers.
• Debate initiation and graduation.
• SOCIETY CROSS OVER SOCIALS! Already prearranged some (hint karaoke) and more to come.
• more chill socials e.g. social run on a weekend with brunch at mine.
• continue debate-ween and debate christmas party, will also start debate birthdays.
