Hi everyone! I’m Ajwa a second year medical student, I’m running for president this year. My passion for general practice stems from my long-term commitment to volunteering at various different practices where I've seen it be the first point of contact of care for so many people. I find sometimes general practice can get stereotyped as a less exciting or less dynamic speciality despite its huge breadth and complexity and would love to help challenge these misconceptions.

As your president, I will advocate for

• More conferences, workshops and other networking events this year involving GPs at different stages of their career in order to gain the most insight into pathways
• Create more revision resources including SBAQs and VSAQs
• Collaborate with other societies to encourage interdisciplinary conversations and help reshape misconceptions regarding general practice as a speciality
• Actively collect feedback after events in order to shape the society around what our members want
