Hi! I'm Rhian, a 3rd year Computing student and currently your DoCSoc Sponsor Liaison!
After collaborating with recruiters and engineers from 40+ companies to raise funds for this incredible society this year, I would love to take the lead on running the society itself instead as YOUR DoCSoc Vice President!
I have extensive experience with leadership and organising large events, from QRT's Inter-University Challenge to Arctic Lake's Keycap Workshop - and who can forget the spectacle that is IC Hack, which I had a huge role in coordinating as a Team Lead and Organiser.
As Vice President, I pledge to:
- Organise a variety of events that you'll look back on in years to come. Cocktail making, bottomless dinner, trampolining, bowling, Chinese New Year dinner, even a DoCSoc holiday - the possibilities are endless!
- Run more events with free food and drinks, bigger venues, and more tickets. Free pizza and pints are truly some of the best aspects of DoCSoc, after all, and everyone should get the chance to experience that.
- Continue the great work with sponsors that I spearheaded this year. All those interactive workshops and competitions, and awesome sponsors - I'll push for those.
- Provide you with more Imperial-exclusive opportunities and interviews, such as The Trade Desk Mock Interviews from this year, and amazing prizes - because you guys deserve it.
