Have you been to a ChemSoc event yet? If not… what are you doing?! 👀
Since joining Imperial (surviving Term 1 included), ChemSoc has been the highlight of my term. Between chaotic quizzes, wholesome socials, and those “we definitely deserve this after that problem sheet” outings, I’ve met incredible coursemates and felt genuinely part of the chemistry community. It’s reminded me that while mechanisms and maths matter, so do the memories we make along the way.
Chemistry is all about balance. Too much academic pressure? Shift the equilibrium with a social. Too much procrastination? Add a dash of motivation. As your Events Officer, I’ll make sure we maintain the perfect balance between fun and rigour.
I want to plan events that are exciting, inclusive, and actually make you think, “Okay, I HAVE to go to this.” Bigger engagement, fresh ideas, and something for everyone, whether you’re here for the vibes, the networking, or just the free snacks.
My goal? More laughter after lectures. More friendships beyond lab partners. More moments where we forget about NMR peaks and just enjoy being part of something bigger.
So if you want a year full of great energy, great people, and great events — vote for me as your Events Officer.
Let’s make this year react spectacularly!
