Hi everyone!
I’m Anny, a first-year chemistry student running for ChemSoc Secretary. ChemSoc has made my first year here truly enjoyable, so it is only right for me to return the favour, and what better way to do so than by helping behind the scenes?
As former Head Girl, I believe I have the experience along with the leadership and time-management skills to successfully balance academics with fulfilling the Secretary’s role to its highest potential.
As Secretary, you can count on me to:
- Make more aesthetic ChemSoc merch (time to improve your sense of style).
- Work closely with the rest of the committee, ensuring everything is running as smoothly as possible, from our best-of-the-best Christmas dinner to the highly anticipated careers fair. I deal with all the stress so you can focus on enjoying the event. Fair trade, right?
- Set up an online platform where you can share your concerns and ideas to bring new initiatives to life.
If elected, I look forward to building the best community for chemists, not only academically but also socially, one where everyone feels included and where we can create enriching memories we’ll look back on fondly once we graduate.
Together, we’ll prove that chemistry is the best science, we have the best building, and we organise the best Christmas dinners. We may complain about chemistry within us; however, we will not tolerate any chemistry slander from outside.
