Hey everyone!! I'm Safiya, a first year (chemistry, of course!) student and I'd love to be your new secretary for chemsoc.

As secretary, my main priority would be sorting out merch for the department. I'd love to hear your input on what kind of merch everyone wants and any suggestions for designs...

I'd be helping to organize events throughout the year - the annual Christmas Dinner was definitely a highlight of term 1 and I'm excited to be able to help make sure that next year's one is just as fun for everyone :)

Also, the careers fairs run by the department have been a really useful way to get an idea of what careers STEM graduates can go into, and network with potential employers, so I want to ensure that these events can keep on running smoothly.
