Cathy Song

Hi everyone! I'm Cathy and I'm a first year. The first time I joined an event with ChemSoc last term (with lots of pizza) was still clear in my mind. ChemSoc always makes me feel welcomed. Since then, I've met so many amazing people, picked up new skills, and made some of my favourite uni memories so far – especially at events like the Christmas baking workshop.

When I'm not doing Chemistry , you'll probably find me outdoors – I love hiking, climbing, and cooking (yes, I promise my baking has improved since the workshop!). Most of all, I love meeting new people and being part of a community that feels like home.

If elected as secretary, here's what I will do:

• Keep events running smoothly.
• Help with the rollout of merch.
• Make sure information flows effectively between all committee members.
• Make new members feel welcomed.
• Help planning and organising more inter-society collaboration events.
