Sara Tiwari
Hi, I'm Sara, a first-year biochemist. Here's why you should vote for me for Publicity & Marketing Officer for BiochemSoc.
My goal is simple: to make sure every event and opportunity BiochemSoc runs reaches you as biochemistry students/enthusiasts.
I have led student committees and managed large-scale projects like yearbook, fundraisers, and prom, but alongside my leadership positions, I somehow always gravitated towards marketing the project to my peers.
I understand how strongly communication can change the way that the same information is received and interpreted. Truly, anyone can make pretty Instagram posts, but I have learned how to strategically advertise events and initiatives to people.
I will focus on (1) making event information concise, accessible through different platforms, and, of course, attractive, (2) collaborating with related societies and departments to showcase a variety of activities (afterall, biochem is more than just bio + chem!), and (3) opening routes for feedback so that the improvement of BiochemSoc is constitutive (get it), hosting events that the students of biochemistry really want.
Biochemistry might not be engineering (no shade), but it's still no joke; we are BUSY, so if I am elected, I will make sure what is advertised to you is worth your time and attention.
Vote Sara for Publicity & Marketing Officer!
