Hi everyone, I'm Balazs! As a departmental society, BioChemSoc has a huge responsibility for helping you make the most out of your time at Imperial. As Events Officer, my aim is to create a lineup of events which provides a way for everyone to unwind from studying and enjoy themselves.

You can expect some kind of event about every 2-3 weeks. I want to experiment with new flagship events, such as Lasertag and Escape Rooms, but also blend them with traditional ones, like Club nights and Boat parties. Bringing back official BioChemSoc Merchandise is also priority for me and pairing it with a design competition would make it truly unique.

As a society, it is a must for us to provide you with platforms for socializing, both on and off campus. We will make better use of our beautiful Common Room by hosting a variety of chill/not-so-chill events. Just imagine a Casino Night on freshers week or a peaceful evening with movies and hot chocolate. Karaoke, arts and crafts, ping-pong tournaments, you name it! When off campus, expect Pub Crawls, Picnics and Social Dinners. What I am most excited for is bringing you events in collaboration with other societies ranging from friendly garage sales to fierce sports competitions.
