Prachur Khandelwal

Hello! I’m Prachur, and I’m running to be your MedEd Treasurer.

Having been involved in multiple societies, I have developed a strong understanding of how student organisations function and the importance of robust financial management in delivering impactful events. My experience spans leadership and finance-focused roles, including President of Indian Society, Treasurer for Friends of Surgical Society, Finance Director for Youth MedAid London, and Sponsorship Officer for SORA. These positions have strengthened my budgeting, accountability, and organisational skills, while also giving me a thorough understanding of Union financial systems.

Through my committee experience, I have seen how effective financial planning directly shapes the accessibility and quality of events. As MedEd Treasurer, I will ensure our funds are managed transparently and efficiently to maximise value for all members. I am particularly keen to support the smooth running of centralised ICSMSU mocks by ensuring strong financial planning and improved internal coordination so that we avoid the shortages in committee support experienced previously.

In addition, I aim to introduce a concise finance guidance resource for members — outlining common processes such as reimbursements, purchase orders, and event budgeting — helping make administrative procedures clearer and more accessible.

MedEd plays a crucial role in supporting students academically, and strong financial stewardship is central to sustaining that mission. I am organised, proactive, and committed to ensuring MedEd continues to grow while remaining financially responsible and student-focused.
