Akilaesh Thirunavukarasu

Hello!

My name is Akilaesh and I'm currently a first year chemist, excited to be running for the position of ChemSoc Junior Treasurer. As Treasurer, it won't just be our equations that are balanced; by keeping track of ChemSoc's finances, I'll ensure our books are balanced just as well!

Having enjoyed the range of events hosted by ChemSoc so far this year, and having been involved in the organisation of several RAG events, I understand the importance of efficient spending, strong management of our financial resources and securing external funding via sponsorships, to help maintain and improve the affordability of our events for everyone. Whilst my skills in the lab (mainly my Python!) may not be perfect, rest assured that I am equipped with the right skills to fulfil this role to the best of my ability, including my strong leadership, clear communication and excellent organisation.
