Millad Salihi

Hello! My name is Millad, and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the role of Junior Treasurer for ChemSoc. I will make sure we have the right amount of money at the right place and at the right time by analysing prior expenses to forecast future spending and developing an actionable budget that will ensure the financial health of ChemSoc.

My policies:

• I pledge to maximise member benefits by exploring funding for academic and professional events to provide members that competitive edge when it comes to opportunities in research and industry
• I will budget effectively to deliver social events and initiatives demanded by members to cultivate a happier and connected community
• I will develop long-term financial strategies to ensure sufficient funds for ChemSoc's obligations- free food and refreshments at our events ;)
• I will ensure transparency in all ChemSoc financial matters and accessibility for members upon request, alongside regular updates to the committee.

What makes me an ideal candidate is that I have experience in handling financial transactions such as creating delivery notes, invoices, purchasing stock and using a POS system. So rest assured, ChemSoc's finances will be in safe hands!
