Ryan Gunn

I wanted to be a part of the MatSoc community since I attended my first MatSoc event. My motivation lies in the fact I want to contribute back to that community by joining the committee and using my skills as a hardworking, helpful individual in the role of web master. I am suitable for this role due to my proficiency in Google Sites which I will use to improve the visibility of MatSoc and easier access to information regarding MatSoc. This will include regular updates to the website and highlighting future events to increase popularity and raise awareness.

I am also learning HTML and CSS to further improve the quality of the website and improve both its functionality and professional appearance. I believe my diversified interest in materials science also contributes to the position of being a committee member. From superconductors to biomaterials, I appreciate every aspect which allows me to apply myself to any materials related event with enthusiasm and of course, a smile!
