Noya Alegeh

I'm Noya, and I joined the IC 1s this year as an undergraduate fresher. I mainly play in defense (GD/GK) but I can also step in as a GS if needed. Having played competitively in nearly every position at some point, I can offer advice to teammates on improving in any position. I have been playing netball since I was six, and before university I played alongside county-level players and competed with my team at regional tournaments, which has given me insight into advanced gameplay and tactics.

As captain, I want to foster a team culture that is highly competitive, supportive, and fun; motivating everyone to improve their netball skills while enjoying the camaraderie of being part of a team. I would also like to organise more team bonding opportunities, such as dinners and activities like bowling or cinema trips, to strengthen relationships both on and off the court.

I am committed, enthusiastic and a strong leader. I know how to lead by example on court, and I am always approachable for advice or constructive feedback. I plan to encourage the team to have regular training sessions with drills targeted to develop specific skills to improve our overall team strategy and chemistry. I will ensure that these training sessions are fun, inclusive, and supportive for every player.
