Meimei Suriyakraikul

Thai: Publications Officer

I am motivated to apply for the public relationships role because I enjoy using media and design to communicate meaningful messages to ensure that every member of Imperial Thai Society feels, valued, included, and connected. I have hands-on experiences in developing social media content and design through my role as a content creator/graphic design leader in two fundraising projects (‘We Care We Build’ and ‘Powerfund.th’), designing the Rugby Class of 2025 leavers’ hoodie, as well as managing the instagram account for Rugby Class of 2025. In these roles, I regularly used platforms such as Canva to design posts that are visually engaging and clearly conveyed our message. Throughout these experiences, I often faced unexpected challenges which required me to adapt quickly and come up with new strategies. These experiences have strengthened my creativity, resilience, and ability to communicate effectively through designs.

My vision for Imperial Thai Society is for it to be a true family away from home, a space where every member feels supported, valued, and connected, where no one feels alone, since I understand how difficult it is to be abroad. I hope to integrate everyone within the society and ensure that upcoming freshers feel welcomed and comfortable from the very first day. In terms of changes, I would like to introduce more interactive and collaborative events that help bonds everyone across year groups and allow freshers to build deep connections with seniors (for example monthly competition between sairahus, eg. sport, cooking, etc.).
